The Generation III Research Spray Chamber Our Generation III Research Track Spray Chamber is the cutting edge of research sprayer technology. Our sprayer is the most user-friendly and maintenance free Research Track Sprayer on the market today. Here are a few of the features that make this Generation III sprayer an indispensable tool to your facility.
Construction—The sprayers begin with a 3/16” thick heavy welded steel frame. The walls of the chamber are 5/8” thick plywood with laminated fiberglass as the exterior surface and the inside is completely lined with 20-gage stainless steel. This combination makes the chassis of the machine almost indestructible. Controls—The Gen III Research Track Sprayer is controlled by a state of the art touch screen display. All parameters are set and all operations are controlled through this screen. Each individual option appears on the main menu for easy selection and operation. Accuracy—The sprayer head is driven by a servo motor that travels at any speed from zero to four mph. The speed is set in mph with the touch screen display. You simply type in the desired speed to two decimal places. You get that speed the first time and every time.
The amount of material needed to operate the sprayer is greatly reduced in two ways. First, the spray reservoir is an iatrical part of the Inverted Spray Head. This design eliminates the need to mix more solution to fill lines and valves. Second, the length of sprayed area can be programmed from the full length of the chamber to only one foot in the center of the chamber. Not only does this reduce the amount of material needed to spray your trials but it greatly reduces the amount of waste material you need to dispose of.
Options Include Internal Lights—A dual bulb florescent light mounted above tempered glass in the ceiling of the chamber fully illuminates the inside of the chamber. This is extremely helpful while operating the sprayer. Top Mounted Exhaust Fan—A roof-mounted fan is used to draw fumes out of the chamber. Automatic Start for Exhaust Fan—Proximity switches mounted in the door tracks automatically start the exhaust fan when the doors are open. This feature can be disabled and operated manually if necessary. Fan Speed Control—A potentiometer mounted in the panel allows for adjustment of exhaust fan speed. Electro Pneumatic Pressure Regulator—This pressure regulator is set with the touch screen and continuously monitors and compensates for pressure fluxuations to maintain an extremely accurate spray pattern. Internal Washdown—A series of internally mounted nozzles that spray clear water to flush out the inside of the chamber. Waste Water Pump and Stainless Steel Tank—A stainless steel tank collects all of the excess liquid from the chamber and pumps it out to your waste system. With the touch screen the pump can be set to operate automatically or manually. Simulated Rainfall—This option allows clear water is sprayed out of a separate nozzle on the spray head as it travels back and forth in the chamber. Speed, length and duration can all be adjusted through the touch screen. This is useful when testing the effects of a rain shower on sprayed plants. Electrically Powered Shelf—It is often necessary to adjust the height of the shelf to get the appropriate distance from the nozzle to the shelf. The standard shelf is adjusted by manually moving and pinning the shelf into position. The electrically powered shelf can be raised or lowered by a roof mounted electric motor which is controlled through the touch screen display. Activated Charcoal Filter—This filters the air after it is drawn out of the chamber by means of the exhaust fan. Due to variations in each installation, ducting to and from the filter must be provided by the customer. Carbon Waste Water Filter—This filters the waste water after being pumped out of the waste water tank. (You will need to check with local regulations to determine proper disposal of the waste solution and used filters) Castor Wheel Locks—Foot operated locks to keep castor wheels from rolling. Spray Solution Mixer Pump—A small pump mounted on the spray head continuously circulates the solution to keep material in suspension. Co2 Cylinder (5lb aluminum) - This is needed if no other air supply is available. Pressure Regulator and Gauge Assembly—Needed for controlling the pressure when using the Co2 cylinder or if none is available with your air supply. |
